Himalaya Animal Lick Salt Blocks

A mineral lick (also known as salt lick or natural lick) is a natural mineral deposit where animals in nutrient-poor ecosystems can obtain essential mineral nutrients.

Himalayan rock salt licks are literally ‘rock hard’, this means that horses and ponies are unable to bite chunks off the block, a problem that can occur with the softer ’pressed’ salt licks. These licks are also much more weather resistant, which means they can be safely left outside in the field for horse to ‘self-dose’.

We have different size & shapes for your needs! You can choose it as per your farm situation!

From Raw stones to perfect blocks to hand & also in rough cylindrical shape with rope to hang anywhere, so they are safe from the Dirt & animal Dung! Animals lick them as & when they needed!

Why Himalayan Salt Licks for Animals?
In an ecosystem, salt/mineral licks often occur naturally, providing the sodiumcalciumironphosphorus and zinc required in the springtime for bonemuscle and other growth in deer and other wildlife, such as Horses, cows, sheep, goats, mooseelephantstapirs, cattle, woodchucks, domestic sheepfox squirrelsmountain goats and porcupines. Harsh weather exposes salty mineral deposits that draw animals from miles away for a taste of needed nutrients. It is thought that certain fauna can detect calcium in salt licks.

Make up of Himalayan Salt Licks

Natural Salt is found in ancient evaporated sea beds underneath great mountain masses, such as the Himalayas, where it has been compressed over time to form solid salt rock, with all the minerals structurally intact.
